Local photographer scoops major award
Malaysia based photographer Steve Tan has won a top prize in a major national photography award.
Steve won the Classical Wedding category in the 2011 Master Photography Awards. Steve beat-off stiff competition to scoop his prize, with other leading photographers from across Britain and worldwide, all striving for recognition in the Awards. Hundreds of professional photographers from around the world were joined by representatives from the major photographic companies at the glittering Awards ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in Newcastle.
Steve's has been photographing weddings professionally since 1997. His persistent attitude and creative style are at the forefront of his business. To Steve, "Wedding Photography is more than just pretty pictures, it's an event." And when he say event, he don't mean it lightly. His best images have always been those when his clients trust him totally to conceptualize and execute his shots. "There will never be another time when so many important people in your life gather together, when you look more perfect, when details are so beautiful, and when everything at the event circles around your life. That in itself is the reason why to hire only professionals to handle your wedding."
Steve is a qualified photographer of The Master Photographer Association ( MPA ) United Kingdom and also a Fellow of The Photographer Malaysia Association ( FSPM ) in the Wedding category.

The Awards, run by the Master Photographers Association (MPA), is one of the most prestigious within the photographic profession. Membership of the association is restricted to full time professional photographers who must qualify to the minimum required Licentiateship standard. The organisation exists to promote and maintain standards of excellence and professionalism within the photographic industry.
